Why flatten a form
Fillable fields can render differently between apps, and anyone can change the values. Flattening draws the current values onto the page and removes the fields, which is what many offices and portals expect when you submit a form.
What it doesn't do
This tool flattens form fields. It doesn't redact text or remove hidden data, so don't rely on it to hide sensitive information.
Questions people actually ask
My PDF says it has no form fields. Why?
Some PDFs only look like forms. If the boxes aren't real fields, there's nothing to flatten and the file is already 'flat'.
Can I unflatten it later?
No. Keep your original if you might need to edit the answers again.
Do you upload or keep my files?
